Random things that I find in life which I want to share ... ummm, will be shared here.

In honor of an amazing movie in theatres now (The Muppets), I present my 5 favorite muppets. From the streets to Fraggle Rock.

5) Boober

I was the sort of kid who would worry about things when I was younger. As such a child, I became knowledgeable in all things that caused such worry. A book worm. So it is little surprise that a character like Boober appealed to me. Us worry warts have to stick together, and warn others.

4) Cookie Monster

C is for cookie. That’s good enough for me … Besides his messy way of eating and googly eyes, the best part of Cookie Monster is when he gets classy in his Monsterpiece Theatre skits. Well he tries to be classy.

3) Beaker

Now, you don’t want anything that happens to Beaker to occur to you, but isn’t fun to watch it happen to someone else. The poor muppet just can’t catch a break and it doesn’t help that his only mode of speaking is through “meeps”.

2) Grover

If I recall correctly, Grover introduced the notion of jobs to me. He has been a flight attendant, a gym instructor, and a waiter (among many other occupations). In whatever place he is currently employed, he always manages to frustrate Mr. Johnson. And he is better for doing so.

1) Kermit

The calm one surrounded by weirdos. Although he could be a bit wacky and flop his arms wildly in excitement and frustration. He is who I wanted to be (as a person), being odd but having dignity in who you are. Someone who wants to bring joy to others … even if it is with an irrelevant variety show. Who can resist great songs like ‘Bein’ Green’ and ‘The Rainbow Connection’? Not me …
